Enjoying private use of its own patio, it sits in the grounds of the owners’ home in the pretty village of Swanton Morley, just 100 yards from the excellent local shops and an inn serving food, and only 3 miles from the market town of Dereham. River bank fishing can be enjoyed 2 miles away, there are some lovely walks locally and the quiet country lanes are a delight for cyclists. Quaint shops and good restaurants in the charming Georgian town of Holt, spectacular sandy beaches at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, and Cromer for the famous crab sandwiches and end of pier show, are all within easy reach as are the lovely reed lined waterways of the Norfolk Broads, RSPB and nature reserves, and medieval Norwich with its castle and cathedral.

Reviews
We really enjoyed staying at Lincolns Cottage, Swanton Morley, because its an ideal location for touring all of Norfolk. There are many attractions close by for all age groups and several National Trust properties also. The cottage was small and cosy with all the facilities you would need for a lovely holiday. Fresh flowers and milk in the fridge for your arrival. The owners were very helpful if you needed any local information.

Perfect location for coastal and (Thetford) forest walks, country houses (Oxbrough, Felbrigg, Blickling, Sandringham, Holkham etc) and atmospheric ruins (Castle Acre, Castle Rising, Grimes Graves). Owners extremely welcoming and helpful without being intrusive.

The coastline is the major attraction here, with miles of sandy beaches stretching from historic King’s Lynn all the way round to Great Yarmouth, famous for its Golden Mile and multitude of seaside attractions and entertainments. Cromer (noted for its crabs and pier), Sheringham and Hunstanton are also firm family favourites. If you prefer something quieter during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk, try the North Norfolk Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty and a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Venture inland and you’ll discover a gently rolling landscape dotted with flint cottages and ancient churches.
The county town of Norwich is one of England’s best-preserved cities and is a joy to wander around. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral towering above the surrounding medieval streets. East of the city lie the Norfolk Broads, a vast expanse of interconnected lakes and waterways which has long been a firm favourite with sailors. Hire a boat for a day to see them at their best. Less
well-known are the mysterious Brecks, a wilderness area of heaths and forests and one of the least-populated parts of the country.
